Dear Dancing People, Ballet Opéra de Guerra is thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for preprofessional and professional dancers to immerse themselves in the transformative movement language of Gaga. Join us for a special Gaga/dancers Workshop led by former Batsheva dancer and Gaga teacher Ben Green. Ben Green was born in the US in 1996 and graduated from Las Vegas Academy of the Arts in 2014. He has participated in workshops and programs with Crystal Pite, Johannes Wieland, Tom Weinberger, and Gaga Movement Ltd. He joined Batsheva – the Young Ensemble in 2016 and Batsheva Dance Company from 2017-2023. In 2023, he became a Choreographic Assistant for Marlene Monteiro Freitas for projects in the Opera Ballet de Lyon. Today, he is a freelance choreographer, performer and Gaga teacher. Workshop Details: Dates: June 17-21, 2024 Location: University of Utah Marriott Center for Dance 330 S 1500 E, Salt Lake City, UT 84112 Schedule: Gaga/dancers Classes: 5:45 pm - 7:00 pm (Daily) 15 minutes break Ohad Naharin’s Repertoire Sessions: 7:15 pm - 8:30 pm (Daily) Workshop Fees: Full Workshop (5 Days): $375 5 Days of Gaga/dancers Classes: $150 Full Day Drop-Ins: $75 Gaga/dancers Drop-Ins: $25 Scholarship Opportunity: In our commitment to fostering more opportunities for movement research and repertoire by international artists in Salt Lake City, Utah, and providing access to dance education, Ballet Opéra de Guerra is pleased to offer three scholarships for the University of Utah students to attend the Gaga/dancers Workshop.
